The Gatherings
Think of these gatherings as your sacred time and safe space for introspection and self-discovery, among friends.
We typically begin with presence and few light, breezy ways to let go of what we were doing before we started and warm into our journey together.
I like to offer some gentle guidance about the process and why it works as a way into self-expression and jiggling things loose that may feel stuck somehow. Not a lecture, but a conversation.
I’ll bring along some inspiration. This could be a poem, essay, a TellMe Insight Card, a photograph or artwork. Together, we’ll pull tiny cues from these as jumping-off points for our practice.
We write together for very short time spans - 5-15 minutes. You may use a notebook and pen (highly recommended) or a device. We write fast, messy and free. No rewriting, no grammar checking, no commas in all the right places. We go where the hand takes us, even if it’s down an unexpected road. Only rule: just keep writing.
Depending on how many people attend, we will have time for sharing our words with one anther. This is optional - buuuut also the magical ingredient. It feels scary, like standing on the end of a diving board. And it also feels incredibly cathartic when you dive into it.
We create the ultimate safe, judgement-free space for you and promise we’re right beside you the whole way. We’ll return so much love to you for trusting us with your words and giving us permission to share ours with you.
We end with gratitude and ways to take care after the gathering closes. Use what you’ve gathered to fuel continued Insight Writing practice in the weeks before our next gathering.
How to Join
For free subscribers:
I’ll provide occasional free or pop-up live video events. Subscribe to Insight Studio messages (profile>manage subscription>check Insight Studio) to receive details for any gatherings that are open for you.
For paid subscribers:
I’ll send a message a week before each gathering to remind you, along with some notes about what we may explore in our time together. You’ll also receive an email notification when the live event begins. So stay subscribed to your Insight Studio messages and you’ll be updated.
